The travel note in WuXi

It was marvellous for us to make the getaway to Wuxi for the first time and we had a fantastic day there by visiting some scenetic spots in Wuxi. Unfortunately, all of us are scheduled tightly that we could only spend one day there for sightseeing, which caused the trip a little bit pushed.

Climbing the moutain Xi and Hill and walking in the path of Chinese traditional garderns, nothing is more attractive to us than the stylish ancient enviornment of gracefulness and implicit style in Kangnam. It was really poetic for us while walking through the pavilions, terraces, pagodas and corridors, reading the ancient stone inscrptions in beautiful seal character or full-cursive handwriting given by ancient celebrities, enjoying the traditional culture brought forth by the courtyard carved on Chinese totems and the fatastic layout of traditional archetecture. Besides, what's not supposed to be left was the local customs that we experience, clay figures, Li Gao Tang(a sort of artistical peddling in old Kangnam), bluestone alley and Wuxi Pork (which was actually not tasty but I thought they didnt' make it authentic)

The Lake Tai was alsy worth trip. The misty weather transfered a little bit obscurity for visitors, which, on the contrary, made the Lake more poetic and corresponded to the euphemistic charm of Chinese aesthetics. It was hard to see the hills in th distance through the heavy fog above the lake, while we could only get the only profile of moutains. The blazing sunlight went through the fog and sparkles the lake and the golden water streak is expanding to the shore, which reminded me of the verses in ancient poems. Viewing the splendid moutains and lakes in the golden coat, covered with the flashing aureole and walking within the paths with pines standing aside, I was totally bewitched with the beauty of miraculous Lake Tai.

Moreover, the stage-playing in The City of Three Kingdom was also attractive. By the reputation of the TV series made by CCTV, the city of three kindom have thrived to a very man-made scenetic spot at the riverside of Lake Tai. Visitors had chances to experience the film stages in which that famous TV programe had been made, which took us back to the period full of wars and battles, powers and strategies, heroes and warriors....

Tha participants were Steven, Maya, Jason and Cathy. Thanks!
